Cowboys waive RB Darren McFadden, report says

The Dallas Cowboys released running back Darren McFadden on Sunday and it appears that McFadden won't be the only casualty of the upcoming week.

For the season, McFadden only has one carry for -2 yards, so he should be pretty fresh for whatever team he ends up with.

"It definitely surprised the hell out of me", McFadden told reporters.

McFadden's departure is an amicable one; the 30-year-old runner, two years ago Dallas' leading rusher, is buried on the depth chart now, even with Ezekiel Elliott on suspension.

To replace McFadden on the roster, the Cowboys will sign defensive lineman Datone Moore.

"Week after week the Dallas Cowboys get out coached". He was limited to three games last season because he broke his elbow during the offseason. The team has chose to release kicker Mike Nugent after fellow kicker Dan Bailey returned to the team and proved his health in practice, according to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

To Rapaport's point, the Cowboys have scored seven, nine, and six respectively in their past three losses, with this past Thursday's Thanksgiving day debacle being the worst of the three games.

Nugent went 7-of-9 for Dallas after being signed in late October following a groin injury Bailey suffered against the San Francisco 49ers.
