Aboubakar double fires Porto into Champions League last 16

Turkey's Besiktas beat Germany's Leipzig to become the only Turkish team to advance to the UEFA Champions League's round of 16 undefeated.

The 29-year-old made his 164th competitive appearance for the club on Wednesday when he replaced Kevin Kampl in the second half of their 2-1 defeat to Besiktas.

Besiktas made history on Wednesday after becoming the first Turkish side to finish the Champions League group stage undefeated.

Monaco were leaving gaps in defence and they did so again after 33 minutes, when Danilo Pereira's pass found Aboubakar on the left side of the penalty area and the Cameroon global cut inside before blasting his effort beyond Benaglio with his right foot.

Alvaro Negredo scored a penalty for the Turkish side in the 10th minute. "Now who's next #UCL?" the Istanbul club said on Twitter.

"The team showed morale and never stopped", Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuettl said.

Zengin continued to frustrate Leipzig after the break, making five saves before the hour mark to keep his team's lead intact.

The introduction of Dominik Kaiser lifted the home side again with 15 minutes to go.

Liverpool's attack looked frightening in the Champions League, albeit against Spartak Moscow.

The consolation was short-lived, however, as the ball fell to Talisca at a Besiktas corner, and the Brazilian swept the ball into the top corner to restore the lead.

In the 87th minute, however, Leipzig's Naby Keita scored the equaliser to level the scoreline.

The Guinean global brought them back into a game that had looked lost when Stefan Ilsanker picked up his second yellow card in the 82nd minute for a cynical foul on Cenk Tosun.

Despite the loss, RB Lepzig booked a place in the Europa League having finished in the third position behind Besiktas and FC Porto. "The goalkeeper had the game of his life".
