Celebrate PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Xbox Launch with Real Life Supply Drops

Xbox Australia has revealed it will celebrate the release of the game in its own unique style.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now on PC through Steam Early Access, while the upcoming Xbox One version will arrive through the Game Preview program on December 12th, 2017. The weapon is usually shown in western films, and players will be able to make kill enemies while in a vehicle if the features of the weapon are realistically implemented in the game. There's 25 prizes up for grabs at each location and the whole hootnanny begins on Saturday, December 9.

According to PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, they had gotten the game to run at 60fps on the Xbox One X, but could only squeeze 30-40fps out of the standard console.

XBox ANZ Facebook will provide clues beginning Saturday, as well as a password that has to be given to the staff attending the box in order to claim a prize. May the odds be ever in your favour, etc. Please do not actually conduct yourself as you would in the game when approaching one of these IRL crates.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One Game Preview December 12, but from today until December 10, you can buy the "Warrior Pack", which includes a balaclava, camo t-shirt, trousers and tennis shoes for $9.99 in the USA and £7.99 in the UK. Our advice would be not to take a frying pan with you if you're gunning for a prize this weekend.
