DONE DEAL? Everton agree fee with Besiktas for Cenk Tosun

Everton have reportedly agreed a £25million deal for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

The January transfer window opens next week, and Everton have already sorted out their first signing in 2018.

The Germany-born Tosun broke onto the scene last season with 24 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions, and has 29 German youth worldwide caps, before he switched allegiances to Turkey with whom he has 14 youth caps and 25 senior global appearances scoring 8 times.

Tosun, who is set to enter the final 18 months of his contract at the Vodafone Arena, has been in exquisite form for Besiktas this season with 13 goals in 23 games including strikes against Monaco, Porto and Galatasaray.

Tosun, a 26-year-old Turkish worldwide, enjoyed a breakout campaign at the Vodafone Arena last season, racking up 27 goals in all competitions, including 20 goals and 5 assists in 29 league starts.

Everton did sign Sandro Ramriez from Malaga for £5.2m but the Spanish striker has struggled to settle into life in England and has yet to net in the Premier League.

While Sam Allardyce will have wanted all three points, the result extends Everton's impressive unbeaten run to eight matches.
