Holly Holm likes a good challenge

Holly Holm likes a good challenge

The former UFC Bantamweight champion likes a good challenge and believes she will get that when she faces UFC Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg, Dec. 30 in Las Vegas. And she had what I call that "Christy Martin moment" where Christy tried to throw a punch at her, Holly slipped under and then Christy nearly went through the ropes.

Holm also likes challenging fights because she doesn't want to leave any doubt to her legacy.

It will be the first time Holm and Cyborg have met in the octagon and the second time Holm has attempted to become featherweight champion. We're going for victory.

"I think this was a great fight", Cyborg said. "I'm going for wanting to feel good".

The tougher the challenge the better the fight for Holly Holm. "Guess what? Ronda did the same thing, and it's gonna happen in the Cris Cyborg fight, she's gonna have that same moment".

"You know what, behind the scenes when we fought Ronda we were pretty confident that we had the proper game plan to beat Ronda", said Winkeljohn on Submission Radio.

In terms of pedigree, Holm is one of the most accomplished combat sports athletes in history, and she's set a new standard for striking in mixed martial arts with her boxing acumen combined with a kickboxing skill set that she's honed over the years.

Although she's just 1-3 in her last four fights, Holm is without question one of the best strikers amongst female fighters.

Cyborg is leaving nothing to chance in the lead up to this fight - not only because it's the first defense of her UFC title, but also because this will be her first main event on pay-per-view.
