Indian drone "invaded" our airspace, then crashed: Chinese media

Last week, the PLA said it had the right to deploy troops as it saw fit in Doklam, which China claims but India and Bhutan see as Bhutanese. "According to our information, Wang will meet with the top officials of India and detailed information will be released in due course", Geng was quoted as saying by PTI. India had intervened on Bhutan's behalf as Chinese building activities threatened "Chicken's Neck"- a narrow strip of land connecting Indian mainland to its northeastern states. India objected to the construction highlighting its security concerns.

The external affairs ministry said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit India for the trilateral. The road was being built by the Chinese troops in the area which is also claimed by Bhutan.

Yang and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval are the designated Special Representatives for the border talks later this month.

Yang has been elevated under Xi's second tenure as he was elected to the CPC's highest policy body, the Politburo.

"India just wants to incite the USA to cooperate with India on containing China", said Hu.

Indian and Chinese troops were in a face-to-face situation near the Sikkim sector of the global border after the Chinese People's Liberation Army tried to build a road in Doklam in mid-June.

In September, India's army chief General Bipin Rawat had said that India could not afford to be complacent and must be prepared for war.

China said the drone crashed in "recent days" but didn't say where.

The Foreign Ministers's visit would be the first high-level trip by a Chinese official to India after the 73-day Dokalam standoff.
