Texas A&M athlete threatened to kill people with rifle

On Dec. 10 at around 2:27 a.m. officers responded to 1711 Harvey Mitchell Parkway at the Campus Village Apartments in College Station.

The College Station Police Department said they arrested two men for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Texas A&M senior defensive lineman Zaycoven Henderson was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly pointing a gun at people.

If found guilty on aggravated assault charges, Henderson could be facing two to 20 years in prison.

The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Terry Lechler Florez Jr. was interviewed by police and charged with Possession of Marijuana less than two ounces.

Police discovered the rifle that had been discarded in a a wooded area, with the victims identifying Henderson as the assailant and the retrieved weapon as the one wielded by the football player. Per the Dallas Morning News, Henderson tried throwing the gun out of the vehicle after the reported incident had occurred.

Henderson was a senior on this year's Texas A&M team. A&M's final game is on December 29 against Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl.

Henderson appeared in 12 games for the Aggies, recording 35 tackles (five for a loss) and 2.5 sacks this season.
