Tre'Davious White out of protocol; cleared to play Sunday

Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Tre'Davious White said the "dirty shot" delivered by New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski during Sunday's game at New Era Field "could have broke my neck".

During an appearance on "The Russillo Show", Clark revealed that he'd received a text message from White implyinh that the Bills (rather, "the whole hood") wanted to get back at Gronkowski.

White wasn't pleased when asked for his thoughts on Gronkowski's one-game suspension. "The whole hood want Gronk, for sure".

Gronkowski laid a dirty hit on White during Sunday's game while the latter laid on the turf, giving him a concussion.

Gronkowski will now have to sit out the Patriots' game against the Miami Dolphins next Monday.

"'The whole hood want 'em, '" Clark said.

The entire play surrounding the Gronkowski hit was a mess in Sunday.

The only onfield response the Bills had on the play came from linebacker Preston Brown, who was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct against an official following the hit.

Clark also expressed his frustration with the lack of criticism toward Gronk following the incident. "It wasn't away from the ball, it wasn't a kicker, a defenseless player, it was a guy getting ready to make a tackle - a much bigger football player". When you see a shot like that, I don't care ...

"He passed today so he is out of the protocol", said head coach Sean McDermott following Thursday's practice. "Man, I don't know what to say on that".

"The thing that surprised me just as much ... we didn't retaliate".

The two teams will meet again on Christmas Eve at Gillette Stadium.
