After President Donald Trump appeared to slur several words during a speech on Wednesday, the White House downplayed the episode on Thursday but promised that the results of the president's next routine presidential physical will be made public.

Yesterday (Thursday), US President Donald Trump held the traditional lighting of the candle ceremony for Hanukkah in the White House.

Shah defended Trump's decision on Jerusalem, saying "We think that the decision to recognise reality, and recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is the right decision".

On stage with the president were First Lady Melania Trump, Trump's daughter, Ivanka, his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, his grandchildren, Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen Pence, Holocaust survivor Louise Lawrence-Israels, and Orthodox Rabbi Meir Soloveichik.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Secretary of Veteran Affairs David Schulman and Trump's special Middle East peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, who are all Jewish, also attended.
