Unlocked, SIM-Free iPhone X Now Available In The US

Previously, the iPhone X could only be purchased on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon networks, but the unlocked option allows users to insert any SIM card they want.

Over in the United Kingdom the phone has never had to be tied to a carrier when purchased, and the store is now showing a delivery date of December 13 if you buy it today. The good news is that if you've been waiting for the iPhone X to be unlocked and SIM-free, that time is now.

Buying a SIM-free iPhone X also means that you'll have to pay full price up-front: $999 for the 64GB model, and $1149 for the 256GB model.

Consumers coveting the iPhone X can now buy an unlocked SIM-free version of the handset directly from Apple, giving them the freedom to use it on whatever carrier they want whenever they want.

The iPhone includes all of the accessories you need to get started, including the EarPods with a Lightning connector, a USB-to-Lightning cable, the wall adapter, plus a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter for using regular earbuds or headphones with the handset. The iPhone X supports GSM and CDMA networks, so users can get on almost any network they want with a SIM card.

Shortly after the iPhone X went up for pre-order, shipping estimates from Apple slipped from days to weeks, sometimes as long as 5-6 weeks after order.
