According to her profile on Everipedia, Man worked at a store in Perimeter Mall, Dunwoody, Georgia and was last seen November 20, when she picked up her paycheck from there. She was last enrolled for the Fall 2017 semester as a psychology major, and did not enroll in spring semester classes. One spokesperson said law enforcement's "main goal" was to "identify her and then begin looking into her past, people she associated with and the timeline leading up to the discovery of her body". A maintenance worker had been inspecting the unit when he discovered the door was locked. When he climbed over the counter to check the back room, he saw the woman's body.
A sketch provided by county detectives led to an aunt of Man's drawing a connection between the story and her missing niecing, according to WSBTV.
Police identified her by culling through tips they received after asking the public for help identifying her on January 2, the Gwinnett Daily Post reports. "We are waiting on toxicology, we are waiting to figuring out a little more about her history before we can figure out how this investigation is going to wind up".
The Medical Examiner's Office did not rule the case as a homicide as the details surrounding Man's death were being investigated.
