LG Display will first incorporate this technology into gaming products, and will thereafter provide solutions tailored to the characteristics of each product category. It's 135 pixels per inch whereas a 4K screen would only be 67 pixels per inch at this size. LG calls the design aesthetic "picture-on-wall" and, put in front of a non-techy, it would definitely give the illusion of a handsome art display. It also got a UHD resolution. So with the conversation turning to 8K, does that mean the 4K TV on your wall is now out of date, obsolete?

And, users will have access to 'more intelligent content information, ' to search soundtracks or casts, and even let the TV turn itself off when a program ends, without setting a specific time.

The new TVs are brighter too: up to 4,000 nits, which is four times brighter than last year's range. The company recently amazed everyone with an 88-inch smart TV that boasts of whopping 8K resolution. But it's most likely to be a prototype as well. OLED stock could also be feeling tailwinds from CES, where a number of new products have featured OLED technology. However, HLG and HDR10 use either no metadata or static metadata, so LG's 2018 TVs will process an HDR image dynamically through the company's proprietary HDR solutions known as HLG Pro and HDR10 Pro. The upgrades promise more accurate colors, deeper blacks and higher peak brightness. With LG's offerings coming with both, it definitely has the potential to make these stand out more for consumers when they go to look at upgrading to a new TV.
