It's on! Joseph Parker's unification bout with United Kingdom champion Anthony Joshua confirmed

The Heavyweight unification fight the world has been waiting for between Anthony Joshua MBE and Joseph Parker will take place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on March 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

He said: "Anthony Joshua is in for a huge shock, a couple of months ago I heard him say 'why should I be anxious about this little kid from New Zealand?'" And the world is about to find out whether AJ can really take a punch.

The Joshua-Parker victor will be missing only the world title belt owned by American Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs), who could loom for the victor later this year in what would be another massive fight.

Parker has been outspoken in his pursuit of Joshua, having held numerous press conferences in Auckland to try and coax Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, into entering talks over a unification bout.

"It's a unification heavyweight championship fight".

"That's what makes it exciting".

Anthony Joshua says he will command the respect of Joseph Parker after inflicting a punishing defeat on the New Zealander, but insists there will not be a post-fight handshake. Joshua was last in action in October against Carlos Takam at the Millenium Stadium, seeing him successfully defend his IBF, WBA & IBO titles with a 10th round stoppage.

Britain's Joshua (20-0) won the IBF heavyweight title with a KO win over visiting American Charles Martin at the O2 Arena in April of 2016.

Joshua came through in that fight - barely - and Parker said he will not have such luck against him. My entire existence is now devoted to proving what the boxing world already knows'. And you know me, I love this game.

Joshua said he always knew the fight was coming as both boxers continue their quest to become the first undisputed heavweight champion of the world since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

It is a unification Heavyweight championship fight, we all know what happened last time I was in a unification Heavyweight championship fight against Wladimir Klitschko previous year.

Joseph Parker has done things the hard way from New Zealand to get to this point and won't be willing to give up his WBO title without one hell of a blood bath. But Parker pledged to end Joshua's unbeaten record by putting him flat on the canvas.
