Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Might Leave West Ham In January

Since arriving at the Hammers during the summer, Hernandez has failed to live up to expectations and the club are now prepared to listen to offers for him. Sources close to Hernandez have confirmed that whilst the player is happy at West Ham - he does not like the idea of spending too much time on the bench, so would accept a move away from the club and accepts that means a likely move overseas.

Newcastle fans are now hoping that Rafa Benitez can work out a deal to sign the former Manchester United and Real Madrid poacher in a bid to find an improvement on the current striker options at St. James' Park.

The Mexico striker joined the Hammers from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and made a promising start by netting twice in his second game for the club in their 3-2 loss at Southampton.

Hernandez has scored just four goals in 21 games in all competitions for West Ham this season and is now enduring a miserable run of nine games without scoring. He has only scored four goals for the Irons so far this season, and via Sky Sports, new manager David Moyes is ready to sanction his sale if the right offer comes in.

Moyes now intends to reconfigure his attack around other players and offload Hernandez, who earns around £130,000-a-week ($9.1 million per year) and is West Ham's highest-paid player. MLS club Los Angeles have been linked with a move.
