LG Pay Coming to U.S. by June

The best part is that if you have your payment information already saved into your Google account, you will not need to do anything. This new service is expected to be available online, in store (NFC payments), and across several Google Products including Tez.

As we mentioned, Google is launching its new integrated payments service, Google Pay. When it arrives, however, it may not be LG Pay, but rather LG Wallet, in something of an unusual twist from established norms. The site claimed that LG was considering to launch its mobile payments service in the country as LG Wallet. So far, there were no talks regarding the worldwide availability of LG Pay, and here is the answer.

Those on the latest beta version of the Play services (11.9.73) will note that this section has been updated with the "Google Pay" branding.

As a recap, LG Pay lets you place your device near a payment terminal, approve of the purchase with your fingerprint, and wait for the transaction to be completed. Google is also running limited period offers with B&H, Fandango, and Instacart.

Google, in the blog post, also hinted that it "will also be bringing these experiences to Tez users in India".

Google Pay is still in its early stage of roll out, and things will gradually take shape in the coming days. Now, it's back, and word from the company proper is that it's finally coming to the United States, and just in time for summer.

Last September Google launched a new payment app called Tez designed for the Indian market. With the new branding, the Mountain View giant is apparently looking to streamline operations, much like Apple and Samsung are attempting with their respective Apple Pay and Samsung Pay platforms.
