So what can you expect to see?
MBUX will come to production vehicles starting with the new Mercedes A-Class coming later this year.
MBUX comprises a series of touch sensitive controls - a widescreen touch sensitive display, a touchpad in the centre console and touch controls on the steering wheel.
The horizontal layout of the dashboard gives the whole a floating aspect, and the indirect lighting placed just below helps create a grandiose ambiance, according to Mercedes-Benz. With its completely updated interior and numerous new features, the G-Class has now undergone the most significant transformation of its nearly 40-year career, in technical as well as stylistic terms - while staying true to itself.
Mercedes will offer the cockpit screens in three different configurations comprising the instrument cluster and infotainment system: two 7-inch displays, a 7-inch display and a 10.25-inch display, and two 10.25 inch displays.

Aside from using AI, the new operating system also marks a big leap away from the automaker's usual knob-based control systems.
The promise was a bold one: Mercedes-Benz was going to revolutionize the user experience in its cars.
Khan said the system would allow drivers to talk to their cars the same way they might talk to friends, and would update to incorporate new slang terms. The automaker says the system relies on artificial intelligence and can actually learn. For example, it will monitor the music you listen to and generate a playlist accordingly, or suggest a contact to call if you phone the same person at similar times during the day.
Along with sleek graphics, 3D renderings, and animations, augmented reality technology has also been incorporated into the infotainment system. To help drivers find a particular house number more easily or take the correct off-ramp, pictures of arrows and house numbers are superimposed automatically onto the touchscreen image. Not only that, but the service can locate the vehicle in a parking garage or send warnings if it has been hit or towed on the street.
