The Fad That Won't Die: PUBG Hits 3 Million Players on Xbox

The Fad That Won't Die: PUBG Hits 3 Million Players on Xbox

In one month, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - you might have heard of it - has amassed 3 million players and therefore sales on Xbox One. Today, PUBG Corp. and Xbox are excited to share that through the end of 2017 the PUBG community on Xbox One has already grown to over three million players. The Battle Royale game, which is basically the brainchild of one guy, Brendan Greene, pits 100 players against each other in an ever shrinking playing field and tasks them with being the last one standing. Some players are having trouble finding Squad games with people that speak their language and are being paired with Chinese players, which doesn't sound like a very enjoyable experience at all.

Anyway, Greenberg explains that PUBG will keep getting better on Xbox One this year, just as is the case on the PC. We know that PUBG sold over 20 million copies on PC but we didn't have any idea what the recent player count was on Xbox One.

"Popular shooter PlayerUnknown" s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has broken another world record. These noticeable gains have given some fans confidence that the developer will get close to a steady 30 frames per second across all Xbox One platforms. They also changed many things in gameplay such as player damage to vehicles, the issue that caused "indoor lighting and shadows to appear too dark and blueish" has been fixed, you can use acceleration with the analog stick when exiting the plane and using the parachute, and many more issues. From December 12, 2017 list of platforms the game was added and Xbox One, which she, too, is out in early access. PUBG Corp says that they have fixed many crashing issues on the Xbox One. Right now you can purchase PUBG for $29.99 from the Xbox Store.

These new paid crates come with cosmetic items and there a limit of six crates per week with the cap being reset every Monday at 12AM UTC.
