The Fad That Won't Die: PUBG Hits 3 Million Players on Xbox

In one month, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - you might have heard of it - has amassed 3 million players and therefore sales on Xbox One. Today, PUBG Corp. and Xbox are excited to share that through the end of 2017 the PUBG community on Xbox One has already grown to over three million players. The Battle Royale game, which is basically the brainchild of one guy, Brendan Greene, pits 100 players against each other in an ever shrinking playing field and tasks them with being the last one standing. Some players are having trouble finding Squad games with people that speak their language and are being paired with Chinese players, which doesn't sound like a very enjoyable experience at all.

Anyway, Greenberg explains that PUBG will keep getting better on Xbox One this year, just as is the case on the PC. We know that PUBG sold over 20 million copies on PC but we didn't have any idea what the recent player count was on Xbox One.
