The Hill: Trump refuses to commit to Mueller interview

"Democrats and Republicans have drastically different views on whether Trump will be cleared of wrongdoing in the Russian Federation probe led by special counsel Robert Mueller", he said, according to Politico.

"There was absolutely no collusion".

At the White House on Wednesday afternoon, Donald Trump met with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg to discuss a variety of issues, including economics, as well worldwide security.

"I would be glad to tell him exactly what I just told you", Trump added during an event at the White House.

Trump's legal team is weighing "every possible avenue" for the President to provide information to the special counsel, from interviews to written answers. "Or would you demand that a strict set of parameters be placed around any encounter between you and the special counsel?"

Earlier Wednesday, Trump slammed the various investigations focused on the allegations of collusion between his campaign and the Russian government.

That same day Trump resurfaced dubious claims about the investigation into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while secretary of state.

The President repeated his claims it treated the U.S. "unfairly" and was a "bad deal" but did say "we could conceivably go back in".

"I feel very strongly about the environment... but we also want businesses that can compete".

Trump joined with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, highlighting the two nations' deep roots.

Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly derided the Mueller probe as the greatest "witch hunt" in the country's political history and denied any collusion took place.

The President has said time and again - and has also tweeted - how there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

Trump described the probe as a cloud over his administration.

Strzok was removed from Mueller's team after the special counsel learned about the messages last summer.

Per a new report by CNN today, it would appear that those close to Trump are advising him to stay away from Mueller and not submit to an interview request. She wasn't given the oath.
