The Xbox One X makes its debut in India for ₹44990

The new console comes priced at Rs. 44,990 and will be available for sale starting Tuesday at major online and offline retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Landmark and Microsoft India stores. The company claims it to be one of the best gaming consoles for 4K gaming. It's a break from the company's usual wait time that saw the Xbox One S release almost a year and a half after the rest of the world and original Xbox One hitting the country nearly a year after everywhere else.

Priyadarshi Mohapatra said, "All the studies and indicators have told us that the future of gaming is going to be immersive 4K. When I look at Xbox Live, and both our stability and the continued delivering of features such as Clubs or Play Anywhere or crossplay, I think the team's done a great job and on the content side, we continue to work".

Once known as Project Scorpio, Microsoft Xbox One X has been conceptualised as a high-end console from the beginning.

The Xbox One X is powered by eight-core custom AMD CPU clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 12GB of GDDR5 graphic memory for smoother gameplay. But for many gamers, it doesn't really matter. Especially as Sony has been so aggressive in not allowing EA Access onto the PlayStation 4.

It should also be noted that all titles are playable on Xbox One, even those selected for the Xbox 360. "Indian consumers, when it comes to gaming, are fairly discerning and matured". "Games that maybe launched at a time of competitive pressures or something else that caused them to not get the sunshine they should from the market". The difference is mostly in functionality - conceptually, Game Pass is very similar to services like Netflix and Hulu. Meaning subscribers will be able to play the next Halo, Gears of War, Forza, or any other first party release on day one at no additional cost. Along with the Xbox One X, a number of games have received patches that are optimised for 4K visuals.
