The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical. The city police and National Disaster Relief Force personnel have rushed to the site for rescue operations, Karnataka State Emergency Operation Centre tweeted.

"Rescue operations are underway", a Deccan Chronicle report quoted Mayor Sampath Raj as saying.

The building is located on Sarjapur Road, according to ANI. More persons suspected to be trapped. Meanwhile, The Hindu reported that one worker was killed in the collapse.

The Hindu reported that the Bellandur Police reported to the call and is now aiding and supervising rescue operations.

At least 15 construction are feared trapped under the building debris.

"The owner of the house is from Kerala - Kunni Ahmed and his son-in-law Rafiq is a resident of HSR Layout. Six people who were rescued have been admitted to a private hospital nearby", DCP Abdul Ahad told TNM. The building was under construction for six years. The construction had been stopped for the last two year for unknown reasons.

At least three people died and seven others were injured after a five-storey under-construction building collapsed on Thursday in Kasavanahalli in Bengaluru. Upon reaching the spot, I saw thick dust in the air and the building had collapsed.

In October 2017, seven persons including a pregnant woman had died when a a two-storey house crumbled down in Bengaluru's Ejipura. The owner of the building allegedly raised the building height to five floors.
