News Graphic Reading 'PF Chang 2018' Makes It Into Pyeongchang Olympics Story

P.F. Chang's is an Asian-inspired chain restaurant with 210 US locations, including ones in Chicago, Lombard, Northbrook, Orland Park and Schaumburg.

As a result, there was a graphics mixup and everyone who was happily unaware that the "P.F. Chang" Olympics were a thing a sports anchor in Chicago giggles at, their bubble has been unmercifully shattered.

Video posted to Mediaite shows that the graphic appeared on air for a few seconds before producers cut away to discuss tensions between South Korea and North Korea. Nicholas apologized for the mistake, the Tribune reported.

Saturday anchor Mark Rivera went viral this week for his TV spot alongside an Olympics graphic that looked a little. off.

First, and foremost, the name "PyeongChang" has been replaced with the restaurant name.

The network said the graphic was created for a "satirical" sports broadcast aired Friday, and then accidentally ended up on the Saturday morning story aired by anchor Mark Rivera.

"PyeongChang and P.F. Chang's both start with P and end with the same "chang" sound, but you can't equate the two".

Not only does P.F. Chang's bill itself in its logo as a "China bistro", but one of its founders was from China - and implying China and South Korea are interchangeable is a common generalization.
