Student Arrested For Making Threats

Visitors will not be allowed on the Davidson High School campus on Friday, after a threat against the school was posted on social media.

LPD said there is not an ongoing threat to Lincoln Northeast High School or any other school in Lincoln.

"We have not been able to discern a viable threat at Santa Fe High School", SFPD spokesman Greg Gurule said.

Bliemeister commented on how many students "did the right thing" by reporting the threat to LNE officials, and reminds any students or teachers to report any threats made.

The Halifax Regional School Board says all students and staff are safe.

The teen, who does not attend West Deptford High School, is charged with creating a false public alarm, police Chief Sam DiSimone said Friday. That came after police received a report Monday afternoon about threats toward an individual student via social media. "We're going to look into every lead we can, even just from them saying it". The investigation found that the 14-year-old was unaware of the 15-year-old's intentions when the call was made.

Carr urged parents to speak to their children about the importance of speaking out if they see threats of violence online and to make sure their students are aware that there are severe consequences for making such posts.
