Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Production Company Adopts Inclusion Rider

And now, his decision has directly inspired a few more big stars: Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are going to be implementing inclusion riders at their producing company, Pearl Street Films. The announcement was made on Twitter Monday.

According to her website, Cox DiGiovanni is on the board of Project Greenlight Digital Studios, Damon and Affleck's initiative to support emerging filmmakers.

Following McDormand's lead, "Black Panther" star Michael B. Jordan announced on March 7 that his company, Outlier Society Productions, would add inclusion riders on all future deals.

Frances McDormand used her Best Actress Oscar win to encourage Hollywood to use "inclusion riders" in their contracts, which would require any production to interview a broad spectrum of diverse people for supporting roles and key jobs on set.

According to the University of Southern California, where Dr Smith is an associate professor, the concept of an inclusion rider is: "A-list actors can incorporate a clause in their contracts that stipulates that inclusion, both on camera and behind the scenes for crew members, be reflected in films".

"For those of you asking about the #InclusionRider, it's created to ensure equitable hiring in supportive roles for women, POC, the LGBT community, & people w/disabilities", the tweet said.
