Nicole Kidman, David E Kelley reunite for HBOs The Undoing

"I'm excited and honored to continue collaborating with HBO and David E Kelley". If "Big Little Lies" didn't have enough intrigue and mystery for you, then this ought to ramp it up.

Nicole Kidman will star in the new HBO limited series The Undoing.

Kelley will write the psychological thriller, based on the Jean Hanff Korelitz novel You Should Have Known, and serve as showrunner. Bruna Papandrea will executive produce for Made Up Stories. A search for a director is underway. "A character-driven psychological thriller, I'm excited about the adaptation and thrilled to be able to do it with Nicole and HBO", Kelley said in a statement. It is a self-help book that scolds women who lie to themselves about their husbands' behavior.

Actress Reese Witherspoon said at the time: "It gives us the opportunity to delve deeper into the lives of these intriguing and intricate Monterey families and bring more of their stories back to the audience who embraced and championed them".

David added, "I loved this book". Kelley will exec produce and write the scripts that focus on Grace Sachs (Kidman), a successful therapist who's about to publish her first book when disaster strikes - someone dies, her husband goes missing, and her flawless life with her son is turned upside down.

Latest news reveals that HBO is re-teaming three of the driving forces behind Big Little Lies for the its next big project.

Kidman and Kelley both won Emmys for "Big Little Lies" past year - she for acting and producing, he for producing - as part of the series' eight-trophy haul.

Kelley is represented by CAA and attorney Michael Gendler. Abrams' Demimonde, Jordan Peele's Lovecraft Country, True Detective, Sharp Objects, The Deuce and Here and Now, among others.
