'Westworld' Trailer: First Extended Look At Season 2;

It was promised yesterday that a new Westworld season 2 trailer is going to be released on Thursday and HBO has followed through on its promise.

Included are the first glimpses of the feudal Japan theme park ShogunWorld which was teased in the first season's finale.

Picking up immediately after the death of Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins), Westworld season 2 thrusts viewers into a whole new narrative where the robots have risen up to defy their human creators.

Freeze all motor functions, for Westworld season 2 is now barrelling down on its April 22nd launch date.

All of those threads are set for further weaving in season two, and the road toward that tapestry begins in the trailer below (and that song that will be stuck in your mind all day is Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" by series composer Ramin Djawadi). Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) opens the clip, telling Dolores "I dreamt I was on an ocean...you and the others on a distant shore." to which Delores asks "Were you with us?" and Bernard replies "No".

"Why on earth would you be frightened of me?"

Westworld is an American Science fiction western thriller television series created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joyfor HBO. Among them: series regulars Gustaf Skarsgard (Vikings), Fares Fares ( Tyrant), Katja Herbers (The Leftovers) and Neil Jackson plus recurring players Betty Gabriel (Good Girls Revolt) and Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom).
