Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku dropped from Manchester United starting XI vs. Bournemouth

Jose Mourinho has announced his side to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League and fans are not happy at seeing Matteo Darmian in the starting XI. Rashford has completed 90 minutes only five times so far this season and has started in less than half of Manchester United's league matches.

- No player has provided more Premier League assists in away games this season than Paul Pogba (seven - level with Christian Eriksen and David Silva). The Chilean is on the bench alongside Romelu Lukaku.

Mourinho will be aware that he will have to improve next season and make a serious challenge for the league title if he is to remain in a job and this summer could be a big roll of the dice for the two-time Champions League victor. The only question is: which Pogba will turn up?

Which Manchester United players impressed during their clash with Bournemouth? The young England worldwide started as a central striker but switched to the wing once Lukaku came on, and wherever he played he was full of pace and invention.

According to the report, the United board remain "adamant" about the progress made under Mourinho, even if they fail to win the FA Cup this season - their last remaining chance of silverware.

28' - GOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL! Bournemouth 0-1 Man United!

Bournemouth were by no means outclassed by their visitors in the first half, though United's improvement from Sunday's West Brom horror show was significant. Herrera's ideal slide-rule pass dissects Bournemouth's defence and finds Lingard.

Herrera sliced open the Bournemouth defence to find Lingard and he squared across the face of goal for Smalling to tap in.

Having survived two Bournemouth penalty appeals - including Luke Shaw blocking out Callum Wilson as he tried to finish off a cross - United doubled their lead in the 70th minute. The Bournemouth forward just managers to skew his shot wide before going to ground but the referee waves the hosts' appeals away.
