Donovan Mitchell To Play in Game 2 After Toe Injury

Jazz coach Quin Snyder chose to yank Mitchell for the final 3:19 of Sunday's loss for fear or severely injuring the foot.

Should Mitchell miss any time, Alec Burks, Royce O'Neale, and Dante Exum should get more run with Ricky Rubio getting the majority of minutes at the point guard position.

For what it's worth, even playing on one slightly limited wheel, Mitchell was able to record a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double in his playoff debut.

Later, after some hobbling along the sideline, Mitchell would head back to the visiting locker room for X-rays.

"I was just limping, and they saw me limping and thought I needed to come out", Mitchell said, "but I was just being a baby".

"I just stubbed my toe", Mitchell said after the game.

For the Jazz's sake, here's hoping that's true. Utah will make a decision Tuesday about whether Mitchell can play.

Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell has been given the all clear after suffering a minor foot injury in his team's 116-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After a stellar playoff debut, Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell's status for Game 2 is now unclear.
