Enjoy The New Gmail Soon: Google To Launch New Gmail Design

New design and features will be added in this update along with the ability to reply fast to emails, to snooze emails until later, and a new sidebar to place calendar appointments side by side with messages.

- Search results are also cached on the device so you can quickly re-access previous searches‚ even when you're offline‚ without incurring further data costs.

This "confidential mode" will be available around the time that Google launches the Gmail redesign, which will reportedly be within the next few weeks.

The new Gmail design is now being tested inside of Google and with trusted partners. G Suite customers apparently received word about this Gmail redesign - so check your inbox ASAP because there's another important feature to take note of: emails self-destruct.

When composing an email it appears users will be able to click a lock that prevents the contents of said communication being forwarded, copied, pasted, printed or downloaded.

While an official public announcement has not yet been made by Google, an email sent out to G Suite administrators recently revealed that Gmail will soon have a new look.

Beyond that, judging by screenshots sent to TechCrunch, Gmail users will be able to choose when the email expires and disappears into the ether.

Given what has been reported about the changes, it sounds as if Google again hopes to update its web look with elements from its mobile operating system, such as a search bar with rounded corners.

We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase). "We need a bit more time to compose ourselves, so can't share anything yet-archive this for now, and we'll let you know when it's time to hit send", a Google representative said, after likely workshopping this statement for an hour in a shared Google Doc.

As of now, it's unknown whether the feature is going to be compatible with non-Gmail users. The "Compact" view will remain the closest to the current Gmail design, while displaying the most messages on screen. The revision states, "Our automated systems analyse your content (including emails) to provide you personally relevant product features, such as customised search results, tailored advertising, and spam and malware detection".
