Light Winds with Cool Temperatures for Monday

Expect much warmer temps on Tuesday with highs topping out in the upper 70s and low 80s. It will be a washout today and you'll want your umbrella nearby. By sunrise, enough cold air will be in place that a lot of the state will have at least sleet pellets mixing with rain, if not minor icing on colder surfaces. A few areas could see wind gusts of 60 miles per hour. The winds will diminish late Monday night.* Location.Near mountain ridge tops and along desert mountain slopes into adjacent desert areas.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy and cool. Temperatures will return to the low to mid 40s overnight tonight and out the door tomorrow morning. The line of showers and storms should be out of here by 6:30-7:00 am, with just a few lingering spotty showers possible into the afternoon.

Rain pushes back in for the weekend, but it should hold off until Sunday.

As far as Wednesday goes, a small but potent low pressure system will track south of Wisconsin during the afternoon. While a shower can't be ruled out, most of the day should be dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Lows will be in the lower 40s with west winds 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Friday is expected to be sunny with highs in the mid-70s. No significant rainfall is expected, meaning more high fire danger and elevated pollen levels. Saturday sunny and seasonable. Sunday high temperatures will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
