Marseille vs. Salzburg, Arsenal vs. Atlético Madrid

Favourites Atletico Madrid will face Arsenal in the Europa League semi-finals with Olympique de Marseille taking on Austrian outsiders Salzburg following Friday's draw at UEFA's headquarters.

With the Gunners having slipped out of contention for a top-four finish in the Premier League, continental glory is now required in order to rejoin the Champions League elite.

Arsene Wenger saw his side put in a nervy showing against CSKA Moscow in their last outing on Thursday, with two late goals required in Russian Federation to put that encounter to bed.

The final is in Lyon, France on Wednesday, 16 May, with the victor guaranteed a spot in next season's Champions League.

Marseille overcame a first-leg deficit to beat German side Leipzig 5-3 over two legs in their quarter-final, while 1994 finalists Salzburg produced the shock result of the night by defeating Italian side Lazio 4-1 at home to win 6-5 on aggregate.

The Gunners, now sixth in the Premier League, host Diego Simeone's side on April 26 before the second leg at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on May 3.

LaLiga outfit Atletico reached the semi-finals 2-1 on aggregate, despite Thursday's 1-0 loss at Sporting CP in Lisbon.
