Star Stormy Daniels to Wait Trump lawyer's hearing

Cohen, in a Twitter post, said, "I have never been to Prague in my life".

President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, on Friday filed for a 90-day delay in porn star Stormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit, citing Monday's raids on his home, office and hotel room by U.S. prosecutors. In an interview Sunday with CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union", Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti said that Daniels will be attending Cohen's court hearing.

The Justice Department announced Friday that Cohen has been "under criminal investigation" for months in NY over his business dealings.

President Donald Trump's personal attorney reportedly wants a federal judge to stop investigators from using information obtained during FBI raids on his office, hotel room and home.

"Among other things, President Trump has publicly denied knowing that Cohen paid Clifford, and suggested to reporters that they had to "ask Michael" about the payment", the footnote argues, citing a story by CNN's Kevin Liptak.

Manhattan federal prosecutors on Friday agreed to put on hold any review of materials seized from the office of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer this week after a hearing in which attorneys for the lawyer, Trump himself and porn star Stormy Daniels all weighed in.

Trump has called the raids a "witch hunt", "an attack on our country", and a violation of rules that ordinarily make attorney client communications confidential. Afterwards, Avenatti said at a press conference that he wasn't surprised at Trump's interest in the case because longtime lawyer Cohen knew "where all the bodies were buried".

The McClatchy DC article also noted that even if there's evidence Cohen traveled to Prague, it's still unclear if Mueller has evidence that the lawyer met with any prominent Russians. The plan would have ended USA sanctions imposed on Russia in 2014 in response to its incursion into Ukraine in exchange for minimal Russian concessions.

"Not at all. It's meant to send the message that this is a very, very serious matter for her and she wants to make sure that the American people know that she's behind efforts to bring to light as much information and documents as possible", he said. He continued to struggle to hire a new criminal lawyer, and some of his own aides were reluctant to advise him about a response for fear of being dragged into a criminal investigation themselves. "Mr. Cohen is not aware of any "secret" TRUMP campaign/Kremlin relationship", Ryan said.

Other staffers at the Trump Organization have been further tied to the payments made by Cohen.

The judge also heard a request from Michael Avenatti, Daniels' lawyer, to weigh in on the files because they likely involved her, and the judge consented.
