There Might Be A New Self-Destructing Message Feature In The Gmail Revamp

Google is about to update the design of Gmail, according to a new report.

Smart Replies: You can set up algorithmic replies to be automatically sent to people who email you.

Obtained by The Verge, these screenshots reveal that Gmail's new aesthetic lines up nicely with the design language found in a lot of Google's other apps.

Snooze Option: Gmail users will be soon able to snooze emails from particular senders, which will allow them to recheck the mails after a specific time.

The company said: "We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)".

The present Gmail for Web design is among the earliest designs of Google. TechCrunch's report notes that a confidential message doesn't have to be encrypted, which means that it's likely that Google can still see the content of the email.

The update will hit the Early Adopter Program for both regular Gmail and G Suite users within the next few weeks and touts easy access to G Suite apps from directly within Gmail.

The impending overhead was anticipated since long as Google hasn't made many changes in design and feature of web-based Gmail interface. Even then, like TechCrunch reported, the Confidential Mode is available to a handful of users right now.

According to Google Africa's CMO, Mzamo Masito, Google Go is created to address the issue of too much data consumption while growing the web, and also provide a seamless experience irrespective of the device or network the user uses. New design and features will be added in this update along with the ability to reply fast to emails, to snooze emails until later, and a new sidebar to place calendar appointments side by side with messages.

Further, Google is reportedly creating plugins for the "Gmail Add-ons" feature, launched in October of 2017. Since 2006, Google has started offering a Java-based app of Gmail for mobile phones.

The new Gmail will apparently offer users with three layouts to choose from.

Google is set to host its annual developers conference on May 8 which is when it often unveils new software and services.
