E3 2018 Leak: Walmart Canada Slips Up and Posts Unannounced Games

Walmart Canada, though, has messed up in the most spectacular way possible, after online tipster Wario64 noticed this listing revealing what seems to be nearly every unconfirmed game due to be announced at the E3 expo next month. That said, it's been seven years since Rage released on the PlayStation 3, five since Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Just Cause 3 released in 2015. In the listing we can see mention of Gears of War 5, Just Cause 4, Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Assassin's Creed, and a few more besides.

The amusing thing is that this is the only tweet the Rage account has made for years, having deleted all the old ones from the time of the original game's release, but it's already gone viral and given the profile a surge of new followers.

All of the listings have been taken down since being originally spotted, so it's entirely possible that someone was adding potential E3 announcements to their database early. "Hey @WalmartCanada here are a few notes", states the tweet, along with an image highlighting the problems with the listing for the game. We'll keep you posted if more information becomes available. The now deleted listings strangely included Forza Horizon 5, even though the next entry in the series should be Forza Horizon 4. First of all, Forza Horizon 4 hasn't even been announced yet, and the name seems to have a typo either way. We won't know where this incident falls on the spectrum until E3 2018 begins next month, but there are some blatant errors that give us pause. Dragon Quest 2 is an odd one to see appearing on the list too, given that it originally released back in 1987 for NES/ Famicom. Destiny Comet could be related to upcoming expansions.

Interestingly, if this list is correct, we're going to see Ubisoft reveal another Splinter Cell game this year - something that we'd definitely welcome. How excited are you for E3 this year?
