Jurgen Klopp responds to Nabil Fekir and Ousmane Dembele rumours

NAIJ.com previously reported that Lyon striker Nabil Fekir has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Spanish club Real Madrid should they fail to land Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

Jurgen Klopp has been on the look-out for a replacement of Philippe Coutinho's since the Brazilian left Anfield in January for Barcelona.

Klopp was asked about the young winger after his side's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea and did little to quash the transfer story. The Champions League with Lyon? "I would be surprised about that to be honest!"

Former Reds manager Gerard Houllier is also alleged to have helped broker the deal through his role as an advisor to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

A bona fide attacking midfielder who can also play as a No.10 or on the flanks, Fekir has made no fewer than 150 appearances for Les Gones, bagging 56 goals and creating a further 36 for his teammates in all competitions.

The Frenchman is set to be joined at Liverpool by his brother Yassin who has been included as part of the deal.

"But no comment. What was the second name? Oh!" Dembele? Oooh, is he on the market?

Reports in France continue to suggest that Liverpool are in pole position to secure the talented attackers signature, although Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to hold an interest in the player. "I have already said much more than I usually do".

Liverpool have though already agreed a deal to sign Naby Keita at the start of July, but were always likely to sign more players to build upon their stunning Champions League form and challenge at the Premier League title.

"If that is the case [that he is joining] we would be really happy to have him at our home", Mane continued.
