The German manager left Dortmund at the end of the 2016/2017 season.

Tuchel said: "It is with great joy, pride and ambition that I join this great world football club that is Paris Saint-Germain". Tuchel, though, has every confidence in his own ability, and called the challenge "by so far the most exciting proposition in football" in PSG's official communiqué.

An ankle injury cut his season short but he managed an impressive 28 goals and 19 appearances in 30 matches in all competitions in his maiden campaign with the Ligue 1 champions. His ambitious personality, his stated predilection for attacking football and his strength of character are all in keeping with the style that we have wanted to instil here at Paris Saint-Germain".

"I would like to thank all of my teammates", Neymar said on beIN Sports television.

A falling-out with the Dortmund hierarchy cost him as job, and he had been out of work since then. He can coach, but also has good man-management skills, which will be needed with the big names in the PSG squad.
