Weather Authority: Quiet weather to start the week

EXTENDED: Monday will be an absolutely handsome day with full sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the middle 70s. We will be in the low 80s and could see scattered showers Monday afternoon.

"So far, we picked up close to 1" to 1.5" of rain in some spots.

Clearly, with more showers in the forecast, those numbers will go up a bit.

Thursday-Saturday will bring at least a chance of storms to the area.

A new cool and wet weather pattern will return to Montana beginning Wednesday afternoon.

A few storms may be strong or even severe with a hail and wind threat. The sun would not have been your friend today folks! For the most part the rain will be spotty until we get into Friday/Saturday where it becomes more scattered to widespread. A low pressure system approaching from the west tomorrow will bring an increase in cloud cover throughout the day. And we will see a mostly clear sky with plenty of sunshine Monday afternoon. Highs on Friday and Saturday will only be in the 50s, and rain showers are possible both days.

Another area of low pressure will move up from the south on Tuesday. Once again, highs will only be in the mid-60s.

The average high this time of year is 70 degrees. Highs in the 70s and 80s.

As if Mondays and Tuesdays weren't bad I right?
