Harry and Meghan turn out for Trooping the Color spectacle | AP entertainment

Tens of thousands of Royal fans flocked to Buckingham Palace and the Mall to catch a glimpse of the pomp and pageantry surrounding the celebration for Queen Elizabeth.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back from their honeymoon.

The couple will follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry's parents, Charles and Diana, whose first overseas tour after their marriage also took in Australia and New Zealand. Princess Kate was dressed in one of her favorite designers, Alexander McQueen, while Meghan opted for a one-of-a-kind creation by Carolina Herrera and hat by Philip Treacy, a favorite of the Royal Family.

Her two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were also in attendance.

This is supported by the fact Meghan broke a fashion rule favoured by the royals at Trooping the Colour.

The parade marks the official birthday of the Queen, even though her actual birthday is on April 21.

Despite the fact that Meghan Markle is now a member of the British Royal family and that comes with a lot of rules and restrictions, especially in public, the former actress is not too anxious about following royal protocol a hundred percent. The lodge has often hosted celebrities and the Royal Family.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge attend Trooping The Colour.

"These individuals and their stories are so remarkable that the general public across the world needs to see this to draw strength from it and at the same time, competitors themselves will be able to use sport to rehabilitate themselves", Harry explained during the announcement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were married at Windsor Castle last month, have timed their trip to coincide with the Invictus Games in Sydney in October.

The official royal tour will be a rite of passage for royal newcomer Meghan as she settles into married life with Harry.

The event usually carries a "no ring, no bring" policy, which Queen Elizabeth waved out of respect to her eldest son.

"The joke is that Harry is Meghan's surprise stylist". This year, the newly-named Duchess of Sussex scored an invite and was joined by her husband, Prince Harry.

He created the Paralympic-style games in 2014 as a way to inspire wounded soldiers toward recovery.
