Hotel valet has lucky escape, but Porsche gets crunched

If you thought you were having a bad day, think again.

A Subaru somehow managed to mount a Porsche outside Sydney's Hyatt Regency hotel on Sussex Street.

The incident happened around 8:20 a.m. outside Sydney's Hyatt Regency Hotel in Darling Harbour, reported ABC.

Emergency workers cut the driver out from the Porsche as a crowd watched.

Authorities had to cut the hotel valet from the Porsche who had become trapped from the accident.

The valet had to be cut out of the sports auto and was "embarrassed and a little bit shocked", the hotel's director of sales and marketing told ABC.

"They had to cut part of the auto away and pull the staff member out". The hotel insurance is expected to cover the cost of the damage.

While attempting to park the Porsche, the auto reportedly accelerated and ended up under an orange sports utility vehicle (SUV).

Another onlooker, Jonathan Bouzaid, posted pictures of the scene on his Instagram page, and speculated the valet may have been unfamiliar with the sports vehicle, which has a starting price of $182,000 US dollars in Australia.

Next time you think you're having a bad day, spare a thought for the poor valet who had to be cut from someone else's extremely expensive sports auto after ramming it under ANOTHER person's SUV.
