Millie Bobby Brown deletes Twitter account over memes

The "Stranger Things" star has strangely become the target of a homophobic meme which has now led to the the actress to delete her Twitter account.

Twitter users have began photoshopping pictures of Millie, adding homophobic slurs and comments over the top of her photos and posting the images to their accounts.

In reality, Brown is an active supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, and an anti-bullying advocate.

Brown will return to play Eleven in the upcoming third season of Netflix's Stranger Things.

The trolls posted the awful memes during Pride month, and one of the completely fake Photoshopped images took off and got wide circulation.

They also put the word "faggot" in her mouth.

They continue: "She is a f**king child and you are cracking jokes about her hating gay people and wanting to kill them when she hasn't done anything wrong?" Others are captioned with much more graphic and vile content.

A short time later, the Twitter user behind the claim was suspended from the network and the hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown was created leading to a slew of disgusting memes in an apparent attempt at satirical humour. It regained traction this month during Pride Month.

The move came shortly after the Stranger Things star was the subject of homophobic memes on the social network.
