Rodman's weird TV meltdown over Trump

Former pro basketball player Dennis Rodman, who has visited North Korea multiple times and developed a friendship with Kim Jong Un, broke down in tears in an emotional interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo about Trump's' summit with the dictator.

Crying on the screen while wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, the NBA Hall-of-Fame star couldn't stop celebrating the moment. It's a great day for everybody - Tokyo, China ... He said things like if they can move the (inaudible?) [ I think he said ships] back from South Korea I will do what I have to do to listen.

"Just meeting the regime, Kim Jon Un, and the whole marshals and everybody", Rodman continued on why he was invested in North Korea.

This is a true story and I've got me people here who heard the conversation.

"I'm not in this for no money".

Rodman's trip to Singapore was reportedly funded by Potcoin, a marijuana cryptocurrency, and he wore the Potcoin t-shirt throughout his visit.

Dennis began weeping when he confessed that he received death threats for meeting with Kim in North Korea.

He also took the opportunity to take a swipe at former President Barack Obama, who Rodman said never even gave him "the time of day". Or at least, the logistics of banking the large amounts of profits seen in the marijuana industry in the U.S. is complicated and risky. Have a smile, have a glass of iced tea. "I was the only one".

"I'm out of it". Since then, he has been an advocate for improved USA relations with North Korea, despite pressure at home concerning the effectiveness and ethical propriety of his so-called "basketball diplomacy".

"I said to everybody, I said, 'The door will open, '" he said. But I kept my head up high. "I was the only one". "Why do I feel like I just ran a marathon backwards?" another fan said.

"I tried to do that to Obama, and he didn't even give me the time of day", he said.

Speaking live from Singapore ahead of the meeting, former National Basketball Association player Dennis Rodman wore a red "Make America Great Again" hat and a shirt advertising a cryptocurrency for cannabis as he told CNN's Chris Cuomo about how happy he was to be part of "a great day".

"She [the secretary] called me and said, 'Dennis, Donald Trump is so proud of you". "I believed in North Korea". "He thanks you a lot.' And that means a lot", said Rodman.

Rodman spoke in glowing terms about Kim, as he has done before, and glossed over the young leader's troubling human rights record. "This guy wants to be around the world, he wants to go to America".

Rodman's relationship with the North Korean leader has been maligned and prodded by a pugnacious media.
