'Sons Of Anarchy' Star Alan O'Neill Found Dead At 47

According to TMZ, the late star was found by his girlfriend in the hallway of her L.A. apartment in the late hours of Wednesday, June 6. "He's also got a history of alcohol and drug abuse", TMZ reports. "My thoughts & prayers to you & to your family".

No foul play is suspected in his death, with reports suggesting he had suffered health problems. "May he rest in peace", Walsh added.

O'Neill became a household name here with his role as Keith McGrath in RTÉ's Fair City, which he starred in between 2006 and 2012.

O'Neill also appeared in many other projects.

Making his acting debut in 1997 TV movie Ballyseedy as Captain Jim Clarke, O'Neill soon followed up with a run on the 2001 mini-series Rebel Heart. He landed a role as Paddy in 2007's "32A", played Robert in 2009's "Moore Street Masala" and starred in a hit United Kingdom crime series called "Inspector George Gently".

Prior to O'Neill's death, the actor was announced as a cast member in the upcoming horror film, Charlie Lives: The Family's Return.
