Square Enix E3 2018: The Five Biggest Announcements

The most surprising news of the short presentation was a meeting of two of the most popular franchises in gaming. Admittedly, there was a huge Kingdom Hearts event last month, but couldn't the publisher have summoned some new information for today's event?

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider offered a first look at jungle combat, with what seems to be a stealth system very similar to the Predator sections in Batman: Arkham. It's hard to glean too much from the quick shots of gameplay, but we do some combos and counters alongside cinematic close-ups of the action.

If that wasn't enough, fans will be pleased to see that Kingdom Hearts 3 also has a collector's edition of the game for both PS4 and Xbox One. Babylon's Fall, meanwhile, was only of interest because of PlatinumGames' name being attached to it. Finally, for the Sony press conference, we have a completely different trailer, and it's one that doesn't focus on strictly on Pixar and recent Disney Animation Studios works (Tangled, Frozen).

Square Enix has announced a new game called The Quiet Man, and released its announcement trailer.

Square Enix showed off a chunk of gameplay from the upcoming Tomb Raider game, showing Lara Croft pulling off a whole bunch of deadly and creative stealth assassinations.

Plus, I am just really bitter that we didn't see a remastered collection of Legacy of Kain, particularly Defiance.

Square Enix showed off a slew of Just Cause 4's new features like extreme weather, completely revamped vehicle mechanics, Rico's customizable grapple and new enemy archetypes.
