Charges Against Stormy Daniels Dismissed

Adult film star Stormy Daniels performed in an OH strip club Thursday night after charges prompted by her appearance the night before in another venue were dismissed.

Columbus police said they have made numerous arrests based on this law since last fall when authorities "were made aware" of illegal activity at adult entertainment clubs in the city.

- Michael Avenatti (@MichaelAvenatti) July 12, 2018We expect her to be released on bail shortly.

A person who answered the phone at Sirens declined to comment.

Because Daniels wasn't a regular at Sirens Gentlemen's Club where she was performing, a judge dropped the charges. She was seen being brought into a jail in Columbus on Thursday morning.

"Officers were well within their area of responsibility when taking enforcement action", she wrote in a statement. Jacobs said her department will review the arresting officers' motivations internally. The lawyer, Michael Avenatti, tweeted screenshots from what he claimed was the Facebook page of one officer with a pseudonym and asked people to help confirm it.

Because Daniels does not regularly appear at the club, the charges were dismissed, according to court documents.

The state of OH moved to dismiss the case because it did "not have probable cause to proceed on any of the three charges set forth in the complaints", according to scanned court documents that Avenatti posted to social media.

Stormy Daniels was escorted into an OH strip club Thursday night amid heavy security. Officers knocked on the door of her tour bus after the performance and took her into custody in an arrest that Avenatti said left her "traumatized and rattled". Police said two other women were arrested along with Daniels. Prosecutors will decide whether to pursue charges against those women.

Griffin said that when they spoke, Daniels was on her way to give her tips from the night to the two other dancers who had been arrested alongside her. Griffin added that Daniels has already returned to the road, with more dates coming up, saying, "She's back on the pole, baby, back on the pole". They said they have made numerous arrests under the no-touching law but did not immediately provide a number. Avenatti successfully argued Daniels "has not appeared consistently and repeatedly at Sirens", according to prosecutors.

Daniels has said she had sex with Trump in 2006, when he was married. The White House has said Trump denies an affair happened.

Just days before the 2016 election, Cohen paid Daniels US$130,000 in exchange for her silence. She is suing to invalidate the nondisclosure agreement.
