Delayed 'Fortnite' Playground practice mode is finally online

Whether it's new game modes, weapons, in-game items, or cosmetics, Epic Games has kept Fortnite flush with content ever since the publisher and developer chose to make the title's Battle Royale portion free-to-play previous year.

Though Squads in Playground is a great way to practice stalking and terminating other players, getting some alone time in the new mode is essential for practicing building, edits, trap creation, and more.

Here's the latest from Epic Games, who reports: "We've completed our testing process for the improvements to our matchmaking services and are deploying servers that will bring back the Playground LTM".

"But get those creative ideas ready, our aim is to have this fully available to all players later tonight".

"We'll provide another update once we have more information".

In the end, though, Playground is for players to do exactly what they want without the pressures of the battle royale mode, and now they finally can. Here's how to change Playground Mode to Don't fill. Players have been taking their time learning how to build some pretty epic areas, but one duo made a decision to try to bring a little Mario Kart into Fortnite.

Attempt to choose "Don't fill" on Playground mode right now, though, and there's a good chance you won't be able to select it. Let us know with a comment below.

Fortnite is available now for Nintendo Switch, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Unlike Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play mode now available to download on most major platforms.
