Altuve is averaging 11.7 FanDuel points through 92 games while posting a.338/.404/.488 slash with 9 home runs, 13 steals, 44 RBI, and 61 runs scored across 406 plate appearances.

The American League's starting outfield for next week's All-Star Game certainly isn't lacking in star power with the Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout, New York's Aaron Judge and Boston's Mookie Betts getting the nod.

The future is now - well, at least for a night, anyway, at the 2018 MLB Futures Game in Washington, D.C.

"We are proud to have three former Legends recognized in this season's MLB All-Star Game".

This is the second-straight year that the result of All-Star Game doesn't hold any significant value. We take a look at some of the top players who will be taking part in this star studded match.

Cleveland third baseman Jose Ramirez will start for the American League, joined on the roster by teammates Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer, Francisco Lindor and Michael Brantley.

All nine of those players have been All-Stars before.

In the National League, the Chicago Cubs will send two players to start: second baseman Javier Baez and catcher Wilson Contreras. As Joe Maddon's bench coach, he served on the AL coaching staff at the 2009 Midsummer Classic in St. Louis and on the NL coaching staff at last year's All-Star Game in Miami. The 34-year-old Markakis played in 1,928 career Major League Baseball games before earning his first All-Star bid, which is a record.

No American League starting pitcher has been named yet. He struck out 125 during that time, allowing 53 earned runs on 145 hits.

This selection process was made up of 8 position players decided by the fans, 16 player decided by the player's ballots - 5 pitchers, 3 relievers and 1 substitute for each position; and 7 players decided by the MLB Commissioner's office - 3 position and 4 pitchers.

Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts, who is managing the National League roster, will select a designated hitter for the game.
