Serious message behind giant Trump baby blimp, say demonstrators

On Friday, even the mayor of London joined the fun and gave plans to fly a giant blimp showing President Trump as a diapered baby the go-ahead.

Trump will arrive in Britain on 12 July for a "working visit", a more sober affair than the original plan for a state visit with its customary pomp and pageantry after it drew threats of mass protests.

The commander-in-chief is due to meet the Queen at Windsor Castle and Theresa May at her country home in Chequers, before travelling north to Scotland.

Ahead of his visit, Trump said Britain was now "in somewhat turmoil" as Prime Minister May grappled with a political crisis after two top ministers quit over her plans for trade ties with the European Union after Britain leaves the bloc next March.

And so, if you happen to be in London this week, you won't want to miss basking in the shadow of one enormous orange flying Trump Baby.

"This is a protest against what Donald Trump is turning America into". "I've always liked him", he said.

The ambassador added May had shown strong leadership and that the trip would enhance the special relationship between the United States and Britain. "So I think that symbolises how he considers the importance of her leadership in this country right now".

Americans living in Britain have been warned to "keep a low profile" during Donald Trump's visit to avoid being caught up in "violent" protests.

This will be Trump's first visit to England as president. In an effort to prepare and warn Americans ahead of the demonstrations, the US Embassy is encouraging its citizens to take extra precautions.

The warning comes with the information that organizers expect a chance that British protests against the president could escalate into violence, and that any Americans blatantly identifying themselves as such during those protests could potentially risk physical harm.

Police sources in the United Kingdom told The Guardian that the police mobilization for Trump's visit will be the largest since the 2011 English riots.
