Blizzard confirms "multiple Diablo projects" in production, news by end of 2018

Blizzard confirms

A video featuring Blizzard's associate community manager Brandy Camel discussing Diablo has been released.

Blizzard has been hiring new employees for their "Unannounced Diablo Project" for more than two years now. At the time, a reimagining of the second game seemed unlikely, as did a full-on Diablo 4. While we still don't know anything concrete about where the developer is taking the famed franchise, they did officially (and finally) announce that "multiple" Diablo projects are now in the works.

With multiple projects in the works and the Nintendo Switch riding high on its own success, could this mean we are finally getting a Hell-filled port to the hybrid console?

Diablo fans are among the longest suffering subgroups of Blizzard aficionados, but the end is in sight - the studio says we're going to see more Diablo "later this year". So whether you first joined us in "D3" or you're a seasoned veteran, thank you. And we have multiple Diablo projects in the works. But we may have some things to show you later this year. It will likely reveal more during BlizzCon 2018, which takes place November 2-3 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
