One of the directors of the film Rich Moore explained how he felt a bit like the princesses were "frozen in another time" with the clothes they wore.

"Shank is incredible at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her", she said in a statement.

"Shank's lived a lot, she's seen a lot, yet she's got nothing but kindness in her heart - that's the duality of that character", he added.

Featuring the original cast of John C. Reilly, Silverman, Ed O'Neill, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and even Alan Tudyk (the John Ratzenberger equivalent of Disney Animation), Wreck-It-Ralph 2 follows Ralph and Vanellope, as they plug into the Internet, searching for a new part to the latter's game, Sugar Rush. Shank has a reputation as a tough-as-nails street racer, and Vanellope finds herself up against her. "I can't imagine anyone else embodying that part". Gadot announced the casting via her Twitter page with a picture of the character that she will be voicing.
