Gmail Brings Its Confidential Mode To Mobile 08/17/2018

Android and iOS users are now able to use the new Gmail Confidential Mode. Essentially, the Confidential Mode feature turns your entire email conversation with the recipient into a ticking time bomb, as the email conversation can be set to self-destruct. Now, Google has started rolling out the feature for the Gmail Android app as well. This includes being able to control things like whether an email can be forwarded, copied, printed or downloaded.

As added protection, Google also gives users the option of requiring an SMS passcode to open a particular message. You can also choose SMS passcode to make it compulsory for recipients to receive the passcode through text message.

There may be times, when you may not want the recipient to open the email before the expiration date. Now, click on the compose button to create a new email.

Open the mail sent via Confidential mode, scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

Thoughts about Gmail's Confidential Mode? Just check the menu if you want to know whether you have received the update or not. Snooze and Smart Reply were among those features that were introduced in the Gmail redesign.

You want to feel secure sending that ugly passport photo to someone without the fear that they'll drag it up several years down the line. The users who use gmail, will see these messages as like normal mails.

With this, let's say you're having to email a bunch of sensitive documents for a home purchase or a photo of a driver's license for some reason. Though, the Gmail app hasn't received any new tools yet.

How to use Confidential Mode? One of the revered features from the desktop version of Gmail has now been ported to the mobile app, which has been deemed as Gmail Confidential Mode. That new confidential email mode is now finally unveiled by Google for mobile devices.
