Google Pixel 3 leaks again with USB C Pixel Buds in tow

New images of Google's Pixel 3 XL white variant have surfaced, and it looks a lot like the recent trend of notched Android smartphones, albeit with a very controversial design.

The Android 9 Pie release is the proof in the proverbial pudding that Android as an operating system has hit its stride.

The Pixel 3 XL, fresh out of the box. On-screen content seems to confirm that we're looking at a Pixel 3 XL running Android 9 with an 8-core Qualcomm processor - that we assume is the Snapdragon 845 - and an Adreno 630 GPU.

The Google Pixel 3 XL has not been shy about showing its face. Google has put a front facing speaker in there in addition to the camera, giving it a look that stands out for better or worse. This time we can see the display is on, which gives us a good look at the size of the display notch. Second, the notch takes up so much horizontal space that there's only room for three notification icons in the status bar. It also shows that there will be 4GB of RAM. For now, the OS is "Android 9", although it would not be surprising to see that change to Android 9.1 in time for release-Google usually cooks up a x.1 release specifically for its phones. You can see the full unboxing video over at Android Police. Just over a week after we got our latest hands-on look at prototypes of Google's third-generation flagships, but we're now seeing images emerge of what appears to be an actual production model. In-box accessories can vary from country to country, so if you are that interested in pack-in Google headphones, make sure they come with the version shipping in your territory.
